Wayfinding in Learning, Work and Life
In the state of Pennsylvania, one of the considerations taken into account for a school's Future Ready Index are the College and Career Readiness Measures. This indicator is measured through artifacts collected yearly for each student, for a total of 6 artifacts collected by the end of 5th grade. These artifacts demonstrate mastery of the PA standards in 4 categories:
- Career Awareness and Preparation
- Career Acquisition
- Career Retention and Advancement
- Entrepreneurship
Wayfinding work and exploration continues into the middle school and high school years, culminating in a final portfolio documenting the path of each individual child's wayfinding, as they enter the world of college and the workforce.
